BIOGRAPHY Hello and welcome to my website. I am an independent researcher. I obtained a PhD in Psychology (Without corrections) at Imperial College, University of London and have a BA (Hons) in Psychology. I am a chartered psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Prior to becoming an independent researcher I held a number of academic posts including ESRC Research Fellow, Health Research Group, Queen Mary College, University of London and Research Fellow Department of Psychiatry, Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, University of London. I later held the position as Senior Lecturer, Department of Public Health and Primary Care University of Hull and Visiting Lecturer, Public Health and Primary Care Unit, School of Nursing and Midwifery, City University. As an independent researcher I am currently Consultant to Oxford University Innovation (OUI). I continue to provide training in qualitative research methodology. With more than 90 previous publications resulting in over 39,000 reads and more than 2700 citations, I continue to publish with a focus on patient narrative and its role in understanding patient-reported outcomes (PROMs) and the philosophical perspective underpinning PROM development and their interpretation.(See My Research). I am also the author of the Diabetes Health Profile (DHP) which was developed to assess the impact of diabetes on everyday social and emotional functioning in a variety of settings, from clinical practice, population surveys to clinical trials, it is simple to complete and score.For more information on the DHP and to request a license click here.
